Most organisations maintain a list of clients, prospects, members, students, suppliers etc. in a database, a spreadsheet or in purpose-designed customer relationship management software. Contact Mapper can help you do that. All you need is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet listing your names, addresses, interests, products used, category of membership, credit status - whatever information you might want to have at hand. Contact Mapper uses the postcode from the spreadsheet to plot the location of each client. You can then automatically display details about that contact including photographs and documents simply by clicking on a marker.

Contact Mapper is supplied with a high quality road-atlas style map covering the whole of Great Britain. This map should be ideal for those working on a national level. Important

Map file sizes can become very large, therefore it is recommended to start with the least detailed maps possible and to limit the area to that needed. Whichever map you use, Contact Mapper lets you drill down to street level provided that you have a broadband internet connection.

Maps will usually be supplied electronically by download. File sizes can be in excess of 100MB.

POSTCODE MAINTENANCE

New postcodes are being regularly released so it is desirable to keep Contact Mapper up to date. For a small annual charge, you can maintain your postcode tables and there is also an option to maintain the software at the latest level.

Alternatively, you can request an update to the postcode tables at less regular intervals.
